Fine Ivy Care and Size Guide

What is Gold Vermeil?

Vermeil, a French term pronounced “vehr-may”, has a makeup of 925 Sterling Silver internally and must have at least 2.5 microns of gold plating. This is much thicker and long wearing than standard gold plating and also has an incredible shine.

Gold plated jewellery is only 0.5 microns thick and generally not suited to everyday wear.

Our Gold Vermeil pieces are hypoallergenic and are both lead and nickel free.

Caring for your Fine Ivy pieces

To care for your Fine Ivy pieces, we recommend you avoid contact with chemicals, water, perfumes, applying sunscreens and sunless tanning products and the like. Once your skin is dry, you are ready to wear your pieces!

All Fine Ivy pieces are 14k or 18k Gold Vermeil, 14k or 18k Gold, Rose Gold or Rhodium Layered or are solid 925 Sterling Silver.

While the layering is very high quality, coming in contact with the above can cause premature fading and tarnishing.

Please wipe your Fine Ivy pieces with the Fine Ivy cleaning cloth after each wear. This will keep your pieces beautiful and shiny for years to come!

Ring sizing is approximate and measured internally of the ring. If you are unsure which size will fit, we do recommend getting the next size up. Measuring the internal size of an existing ring that fits your finger is usually the easiest way to know your size.

Sizing is as follows -

7 - approximately  1.7cm
8 - approximately  1.8cm
9 - approximately  1.9cm
10 - approximately  2cm
